AME is a power producing company of Chilean origin that began its activities in Chile and Peru in 2008.
Today, together with its partners, it is Chile’s fifth largest power producer with an installed capacity of clean electricity generation of 865 MW, and a portfolio of projects in environmental processing for more than 1,700 MW. Its distinctive spirit of innovation has enabled it to be a pioneer in Chile’s use of solar energy, establishing one of the first plants with these characteristics.

AME’s mission is to operate Chilean and Peruvian energy infrastructure while luring top personnel and creating significant projects of the highest caliber in order to remain competitive in its target markets over the long term perspective.
2008
We started out as a company developing the 300 MW Termochilca project in Peru.
2011
AME is a solar power pioneer, by developing Sol del Loa (110 MW). It also develops the Puelche Wind Farm in Renaico, subsequently selling it to Enel.
2016
With EIG Partners, the company makes a capital increase of US$252 million.
2016
AME, in partnership with EDF, starts the construction of Santiago Solar (115 MW), the largest photovoltaic plant in the Metropolitan Region. It is inaugurated in 2018.
2018
AME and EDF create Generadora Metropolitana, which purchases Eléctrica Santiago. It has an installed capacity of 743 MW in Chile, through four generation plants in the Metropolitan, Valparaíso and Biobío regions.
2020
HIF produces carbon neutral eFuels from green hydrogen and recycled CO2. Currently developing projects in the Magallanes Region (Chile), Texas (United States) and Tasmania (Australia).
